Swedish/Classic Western Style Massage:
Light or Deep Tissue, this modality is great for relaxation & promoting positive blood & lymphatic flow performed using oil/lotions on a massage table or chair.
Thai Massage:
A modality of stretching, rhythmic rocking, and deep compressions performed on a large traditional Thai mat with the client clothed in comfortable loose yoga/dance style clothing. A great modality for increasing flexibility and range of motion.
Sports Massage:
Specific to the athlete's sport of choice. Focusing on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements.
Trigger Point Therapy:
A Trigger Point is an area of low neurological activity that, when stimulated, becomes an area of increased neurological activity; with or without a pain referral pattern. Trigger Point Therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. The client actively participates through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort through the treatment.
Myofascial Release:
A soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. It relaxes contracted muscles, improves blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulates the stretch reflex in muscles.
Energy Balancing:
Energy balancing is a system of realigning and re-attuning the body’s electro-magnetic energy field. The body’s energy flows through pathways in and around the body. When the body’s paths are interrupted, health and wellness can be compromised.
